Dr. Marcos Masson

A native of Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a BS in biology and psychology at Loyola University and then his MD degree from Rush Medical College. Dr. Masson went on to receive his post-graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Texas School of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

He then completed his fellowship training in hand and microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. He subsequently obtained additional training from the University of Washington in Shoulder Reconstruction under the direction of Frederick Matsen.

Dr. Masson was the founder of the Houston Hand and Upper Extremity Center and the Reconstructive Orthopaedic Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas School of Medicine for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His practice consists of treating disorders of the hand, elbow, and shoulder. Special interests include complex shoulder reconstruction, Shoulder Arthroscopic reconstruction, treatment of repetitive work disorders and compression neuropathy.
